Salary Range: $21,140 - $31,383
POSITION SUMMARY:
The K-8 Bookkeeper is responsible for providing essential administrative and office support to school administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students. They facilitate smooth operations by managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with various administrative tasks to support the school community.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or GED required; Associate/Vocational/Technical degree in related field preferred or higher; 1-3 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage financial transactions and accounting tasks using the Crosspointe accounting system and QuickBooks, including processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the school, including tracking expenditures and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for school administration and district officials, ensuring compliance with school and district policies.
- Oversee the collection and recording of school fees, donations, and other revenues, ensuring proper documentation and deposit procedures.
- Assist in generating budget reports and monitoring, as requested by school leadership.
- Handle/Troubleshoot school level Employee Portal issues/problems; attend update meetings for Crosspointe and QuickBooks
- Works closely with Admin and staff regarding requisition entry and PO receiving
- Monitoring/entering teacher and staff daily attendance in the YOSS time tracker.
- Distribute main in-house and postal mail.
- Create and print expenditure reports from Crosspointe when requested by Administrators.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Team and Media Specialist to develop a plan to receive Chromebook repair funds and complete daily receipts
- Conduct annual inventory of school assets (supplies, textbooks, Chromebooks, etc) and update records.
- Type letters, memos, and create forms for the principal and school.
- Field front desk telephone; receive and screen visitors when needed.
- Take minutes in various meetings as requested.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in using administrative software, particularly Infinite Campus and Crosspointe.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Apps (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive), along with Microsoft products, including Word and Excel.
- General bookkeeping skills, including handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Knowledge of Georgia's educational regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for administrative tasks and record-keeping.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
