Job Description : 

Title: CTAE Graphic Design Teacher
Location: Tift County High School (TCHS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver dynamic lessons in graphic design and multimedia arts.
  • Equip students with industry-standard skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise and guide student projects and participation in competitions.
  • Foster creative thinking and technical skill development.
  • Design and implement curriculum and teaching strategies suited to the subject matter.
  • Collaborate with school staff to plan and achieve effective instructional goals and curriculum.
  • Participate in professional growth activities, including staff meetings and development sessions.
  • Maintain and submit accurate records and reports of student progress.
  • Ensure a safe, attractive, and conducive learning environment.
  • Actively participate in Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) activities, such as SKILLS USA, and serve as an advisor.
  • Participate as a regular teacher in IEP meetings for IDEA students.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of instructional content, curriculum, methods, and materials.
  • Monitor student work and behavior effectively by moving around the classroom.
  • Work patiently and compassionately with students and parents to ensure student success.
  • Take and maintain accurate attendance records per Board policy.
  • Adhere to Section 504 and IDEA amendments.
  • Maintain professionalism and a neat appearance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience, as per certification requirements.
  • Valid Georgia career and technical education certificate with appropriate licensure, endorsements, and training.
  • Proven expertise in graphic design and related fields such as Digital Media, Professional Communications, or Audio/Visual Technology.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Understanding of career pathways in graphic design, digital media, and visual communication.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred certifications in Technology Applications, Arts, Audio/Visual Technology, or related areas.
