MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Responsibilities and Duties:

Plans a well-balanced, school wide instructional program within the framework of the school system.

Gives leadership to the organization and implementation of the instructional program and supervises instruction within the school.

Evaluates all professional and non-professional assigned to the building.

Maintains fair and consistent disciplinary procedures.

Maintains a systematic and efficient accounting system for all funds within the school accordance with system and state regulations.

Assists in the recruiting, screening, training, hiring, and assigning of school staff.

Assigns all staff personnel for the best and most efficient utilization of their abilities.

Coordinates school-community relations.

Requisitions, distributes, and maintains inventories of all materials, supplies, and equipment used in the school.

Makes regular and special reports depicting the status of the school program to the superintendent.

Supervises the school’s teaching process.

Supervises the guidance program as appropriate to enhance individual student education and development.

Facilitates professional improvement of the instructional staff.

Coordinates the full range of extracurricular activities.

Maintains a thorough knowledge of the total school program.

Performs other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
