QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates ability to read and understand English as well as work simple math problems. Experience desirable but not required. Must have a clean criminal history. JOB GOAL: Encourages participation in school meals and promotes nutrition education by preparing, serving, and portioning food to meet nutrition program requirements in a clean, organized, and productive atmosphere. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The Board establishes salary and work year annually with local supplements. EVALUATIONS; The nutrition manager will evaluate performance of this job annually. PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND JOB DUTIES; 1. Prepare nutritious acceptable food to provide a pattern for healthy eating, improve student health, provide energy optimal for learning and increase student participation in school nutrition .
2. Serve foods throughout each meal period that are attractive, palatable, and safe.
3. Portion food to meet nutritional needs of students and to fulfill regulations for fund reimbursement.
4. Implement sanitation techniques that will provide a sanitary and attractive work place to maintain above 90% scores on health inspections and prevent transfer of bacteria to food.
5. Employs efficient and safe work habits so that productivity is increased and all aspects of the job are complete within the alloted time.
6. Support the nutrition program and over-all school program as a team player to foster good communication between students, faculty, parents, and staff.
