BUS MONITOR

REPORTS TO:    Director of Transportation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure the safety, protection, and appropriate behavior of all students.

1. Assist in the loading, unloading, placement, and securing of students during the route.

1. Immediately report all unsafe conditions and practices to supervisory personnel.

1. Maintain a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License as prescribed in Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

1. Follow the Policies of the State Board of Education, State Laws, Lowndes County Board of Education Policies, Administrative Policies of the System, and rules and regulations established governing highway travel and transportation of school children.

1. Perform additional duty regarding the transporting of students for school activities when requested to do so.

1. Perform other duties as assigned.
