POSITION: Career Technical and Agricultural Education Secretary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient with Google Platform
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point. 
  • Strong telephone skills as well as oral and written communication skills.  Ability to organize and multi-task.  Able to plan projects from beginning to end.
  • Capable of working with adults and students

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 Months

STATUS: Non-Exempt Employee

REPORTS TO: Director of Career Technical and Agricultural Education

JOB GOAL: To contribute to staff morale and the overall effectiveness of the operation of the school by the prompt, courteous and accurate handling of all office duties enumerated in the job description.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist the Director of Career Technical and Agricultural Education.

  • Assisting in the preparation of the CTAE Local Plan, 5 Year Plan and Audit
  • Filing budget amendments with the Georgia Department of Education as needed
  • Completing requisitions for instructional supplies as needed by CTAE classroom teachers
  • Reconciling differences in invoices, requisitions and purchase orders
  • Communicating with County Office personnel on matters of budget and finance
  • Reviewing travel forms for accuracy and assign account numbers
  • Ordering and inventorying CTAE equipment and supplies annually
  • Maintaining a departmental files
  • Practicing confidentiality in dealing with teacher and student information  
  • Serving as a liaison between the Georgia Department of Education, community stakeholders and Coffee High School
  • Making arrangements for meetings and sending notices to community stakeholders and assist with Academy Advisory Boards
  • Serving as substitute teacher in cases of emergency for CTAE and other teachers
  • Making travel arrangements for CTAE department as needed
  • Serving as a resource for all activities sponsored by or coordinated by the CTAE department
  • Assist CTAE Director with End of Pathway Assessment ordering, administration, and data entry
  • Cover main office area in the absence of other clerical staff
  • Oversee YOSS leave for CHS staff
  • All other duties assigned by the CTAE Director

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
