B TITLE: Inclusion Teacher (Special Education PreK)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 days/10 months

STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities ages 3–5 in inclusive pre-kindergarten settings across multiple school sites within the county. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned to Georgia Pre-K Standards and Georgia Kindergarten Standards.
  2. Deliver direct and consultative special education services in inclusive classroom settings.
  3. Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress toward IEP goals.
  4. Adapt curriculum, materials, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  5. Implement evidence-based interventions (e.g., differentiated instruction, visual supports, structured routines).
  6. Co-teach and collaborate with general education pre-K teachers to support inclusive practices.
  7. Consult with classroom teachers on strategies for supporting students with disabilities.
  8. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to IEP development and revision.
  9. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and home support strategies.
  10. Coordinate with related service providers (speech, OT, PT, etc.) to ensure integrated service delivery.
  11. Maintain accurate and timely IEP documentation and student records.
  12. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Georgia Department of Education regulations.
  13. Complete required progress reports and participate in annual IEP reviews.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
  15. Travel to multiple pre-K sites within the county on a scheduled basis.
  16. Manage materials, resources, and documentation across multiple locations.
  17. Maintain organized systems for tracking student progress across sites.
  18. Communicate effectively with staff at each site.
  19. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Required : T-4 or higher preferred
